Can I use the app without signing in?

Yes! You can use ExpenseZen without creating an account, but signing-in and subscribing to Premium enables email reecipts forwarding, cloud backup, sync across devices, and access to other Premium features.

What counts as a "smart scan"?

A smart scan uses AI technology to automatically extract and categorize receipt data. Manual entries don't count toward your smart scan limit and are unlimited on all plans.

How secure is my data?

We respect your privacy. All your data is stored on your phone only, unless you decide to share it on cloud, or start using advanced features like Email fowrading.

Can I cancel my Premium subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. You'll continue to have access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period, and then your account will automatically revert to the Free plan.

What file formats can I export my data in?

Free plan users can export to CSV and PDF format. Premium users can export advanced PDF reports that include charts and summaries perfect for accountants or tax filing. Premium users also can choose to export receipts images in the Advanced PDF export.

Does ExpenseZen work offline?

Yes ... and No :)! You can manually enter expenses offline. However, AI-powered smart scanning requires an internet connection.

Can I track expenses for multiple projects or properties?

Yes! FREE users can track expenses for 2 project/properties/clients while Premium users can customize and track unlimited projects, clients, or properties. This makes it easy to track costs separately, generate project-specific reports, and prepare accurate tax breakdowns for each property or client.

What currencies does ExpenseZen support?

Both Free and Premium users can track expenses in multiple currencies with automatic currency conversion. All plans allow you to manually convert currencies if needed.

How accurate is the AI receipt scanning?

Our AI technology is very accurate at extracting receipt data including dates, amounts, merchants, and tax information. You can always review and edit any extracted information before saving , as mistakes can happen. The more you use it, the better it learns from your previous receipts.
